Fit on the hips and fuller through the legs, this is my favourite trouser cut. Side pockets, crease, perfect length, flawless design. These entire looks from Bouchra Jarrar’s Spring 2012 collection (although presented during the Paris Couture Week, this is undoubtedly ready-to-wear) are so very much to my liking, beautifully balancing strict lines and feminine details. The military factor is present, of course, one of the influences I love the most in fashion: the white stripe on the grey pair of trousers, the epaulets and double breasted silhouette of the jacket. And then come the backless gilets, the ruffled hemline, the belt tied in a bow and the shawl lapel of the jacket that complement so well that masculine touch.

These are also my kind of trousers
High waist and wide legs/palazzo are also my favourite style of trousers. They can be so feminine, yet add a tomboy touch depending on the ensemble. Yesterday I found the video of the H&M Trend collection for SS 2012 (http://jodywatley.net/2012/01/23/hm-trend-guide-ss-2012/) and I spotted a couple of beautiful trousers with fluid silhouettes…let’s hope that the material is as good as the design!
Yes, me too! I l tend to wear trousers over dresses and skirts, so finding a good cut to suit is important. This is such an elegant cut that is feminine and ultra flattering. Love that military style look! xx
I love trousers as they are chic and give an edge to a feminine look!
That is a beautiful cut, I’d definitely like to have the grey ones but maybe in just a slightly darker colour, as I’ve been looking for trousers like that.
A bird told me it was snowing in Bucharest
And how! We’re snowed in. I guess my wish came true after all, but with one month delay.
Smart outfits! I love the colors of the first photo! I always wanted to wear such trousers but I think I need to be a little more thinner for them
I love trouser cut! It actually is the cut that works best for me so that’s basically all I buy
This collection is fabulous. Love the backless gilet! xoxo
these are gorgeous! tailored, easy, classic. i usually go for something with a little slimmer cut, but these are pretty great! xo
Oh my goodness, I just adore the second one—I would wear it in a moment
p.s the belt looks terribly chic.
